LEVELS — A River Cities Rendezvous

The United Way of the River Cities’ inaugural event, held Saturday, September 26, 2015, at Marshall University’s Visual Arts Center — a celebration of the community’s creative spirit where art, fashion, music, and food blended for one unforgettable night, featuring a juried exhibition of art installations inspired by United Way’s work.

Huntington Art Crawl & Nomad Gallery

The last Friday of each month in downtown Huntington, along 3rd and 4th Avenue between 8th and 11th Street. Enjoy a stroll and look at — or buy — local art.

As the name suggests, a Nomad Gallery is not necessarily in a fixed location, encourages a spirit of exploration, and is a cooperative effort between artists and real-estate owners. It serves the community by providing additional space for artists to exhibit their work and bringing foot traffic into properties available for lease or purchase.

The School of Art & Design at Marshall kicked off the 2016 Art Crawl season on Friday, May 27 with the first Nomad Gallery at 901 4th Avenue, featuring work from Marshall students and recent alumni — David Adkins, Allen Armel, Dane Blankenship, Grayson Collins, Megan Curry, Nathan Fouchs, Madeline Grant, Ashley Haycraft, Felicia Kavanas, Lydia Lake, and Ashley Taylor.

HerdCon 2019

HerdCon was held Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the Marshall University Memorial Student Center and Drinko Library — Marshall’s first venture into the pop culture, comic, and entertainment convention world, focusing on cosplay, scholarly panels, gaming, and local and regional businesses.
